“The whales were breaching off Redondo and this small sailboat maneuvered into the spot where the spout occurred. I was roughly 50 feet from the whale and her calf when they resurfaced next to the sailboat. The guy never looked up from his phone throughout the entire breach,” Smith told ABC 7 Eyewitness News.
Smith said he snapped about five pictures of the whale with the sailboat in the background, but the man never got off his phone and missed each one.
“We’re all guilty being buried in our phones, even me,” Smith said. “You think life is better on your phone, but we’re missing what’s happening around us.”
Imagine if we could just go out and enjoy the world around us. If you need to share, you can share a quick voice message with your friends and family using OrbMi or just let them reach you on your Orb. You can connect when you are done with your day and at your Orb and not on your phone.
We all want to communicate and connect and share our lives, but lets remember to also live it and enjoy it.
Life is what you miss when you are busy on your smartphone being “social”.
Just Orb instead.
